Oh hai!!1

So... I'm back. From England, from being virtually MIA to dA, from being dead, you know... the usual stuff really.
pffft.

England was amazing (as if there was ever going to be a doubt about that)!
I loved Scotland even more though. What amazing countries...!!
I'm already looking for a way back over there. Soon.

Yet now... it's back to real life here in the States.
Fall semester is busy as hell. Junior year apparently is made of "teh suck".
Between my course work, the extra curricular stuff, and my being an RA, I don't have much me time really. Which is too bad considering that is exactly what I long for!

Art update:
I've started TWO NEW PORTRAITS.
That's right. Two!
I've grown very excited about my muse.
So many great pictures to choose from!
I really think they are incapable of taking a bad photo.
(I don't want to give it all away right now which is why I avoided personal pronouns like 'he' and 'she'. You'll have to wait a bit longer before I tell 'ya anything!)

Hopefully these portraits work out. The linework is looking good right now.
Fingers crossed I don't eff it up with the shadow work now.

I hope you are all doing well!!

...And THANK YOU to all of you watching, visiting, or stumbling on my page.
I've somehow managed to hit the 30,000+ views mark while absent... LOLWUT??!
Craziness. In any case, thank you so very much for sticking with me over the years!

England, ho!

Sat Jul 4, 2009, 11:22 PM
So... about how I'll be spending the next six weeks studying at Cambridge University, England...

:excited:

I can hardly believe it, really. The whole idea of me going to the country I've wanted to visit all of my life is ridiculously surreal. And yet the fact remains...!

I've been drawing a bit over the past week (nothing huge or anything... but fun, nonetheless). My plan is to scan the sketches I've been working on and bring the files overseas with me so that I'll have something to work on during my downtime.
No guarantee on any astounding amounts of updates coming from me, however. I'm going to be very busy with my classes and making the very most of my adventures abroad.

Wish me luck! :D

Your Opinions

I have exactly one month a home before getting on a plane to England where I will be studying abroad for the rest of the summer. That's a bit insane to think about!

Anyways, I would really like to post some more of my work here. However, I think I need a little shove from you guys.

What would you like to you see from me?

I can draw some more character sketches from various fandoms (which would be up to you to decide) or I could focus my energy on maybe looking into another pencil portrait (the subject, again, would be up to you).

I'm looking for ideas, people! I've been feeling creative ever since I saw Star Trek XI (3x lol) weeks and weeks ago and have been itching to start drawing again.

So! What will it be then? :hmm:

Star Trek '09 movie

Sun May 17, 2009, 2:30 PM
As I have always been more of a Whovian than a Trekker throughout my life, I knew enough about the long-running American sci-fi series to be very interested in this movie.

So I saw it. And my response was the following:
:icondorkdanceplz: :icondorkdanceplz: :icondorkdanceplz:

I was literally dancing like that while watching, geeking out everywhere.

So I saw the movie again the very next night.
And then I saw it again the night after that.

After seeing this movie three times in the last three days I can easily say the following:
It is easily my favorite movie of the moment.
They absolutely nailed everything (writing, character development, direct series references, etc.).
I will most certainly be seeing it again in theaters.

In conclusion: SEE THIS NEW STAR TREK MOVIE.
